Migraine usually appears as a small gray or even light spot somewhere in our field of vision that is slowly growing. A good example to understand what the visual aura is this… have you noticed that when we look at very bright light and change our gaze we see points that flash but do not actually exist? This is how the aura is described and as it grows, it takes the shape of a crescent or an open angle or changes colors. Zigzag lines sometimes appear over most of the field of view. A little while later follows the headache which we call migraine with aura.
