The first synthetic soft-lens for the retina was created

Researchers in Britain have created the world's first synthetic retina lens made of very soft material. Until now, artificial retinas were made of hard materials. The retina lens, located at the back of the eye and could be the key for proper vision as it converts light into electrical signals that are then transmitted through the nerves to the brain.
